Arsenal boss reveals the ONLY thing he needs from Nicolas Pepe

Nicolas Pepe turned on the style on Sunday and proved to Arsenal fans that he was worth the huge sum of money they paid for him last summer.








The Ivorian scored and assisted to help the Gunners claim a comfortable 4-0 win over Newcastle United at the Emirates stadium. Speaking to the press after the game, Mikel Arteta disclosed that he was not surprised by Pepe's performance because of his incredible ability. However, the Arsenal manager will like him to improve on one thing.







"We just need consistency from him," Arteta said according to the club's official website. "Wide talented players in this league are not easy to get because obviously the most difficult thing to do is create things, but we’ve said some things and we need Nico to maintain game by game."






Arteta also beleived that Pepe's decision to help out the back four helped him claim the man of the match award with ease. "That’s what he wasn’t doing in the past and when he does that, the rewards in the other box come. He made a difference today," the Arsenal manager concluded.






The Gunners unleashed their attacking prowess in the second-half after an goalless first period. Aubameyang opened the scoring before Pepe found the back of the net to extend their lead. Mesut Ozil got on the scoresheet following some free-flowing, fluid attacking play before Alexandre Lacazette sealed the victory.






Arsenal would be hoping that Pepe would continue in this vein of form as they hope to climb back up the table to positions where they may feature in the European tournaments next season. The Gunners are not that far off from Champions League spots and there are still some games to be played.
