The accolade of the best defender in the EPL this season is coming from the unlikeliest of sources. Virgil Van Dijk for all of his brilliance can not match the tidiness of Manchester United defender, Victor Lindelof.

The Swede's partnership with Harry Maguire has ensured United has the 6th best defence in England. He also earned himself the huge honour as the only defender not to be dribbled past this season.







Lindelof in 22 games this season has been rock solid and he is regarded as one of the best defenders in the league. His prompt awareness has made his tackles timely as well as providing goals threat for the Red Devils with a goal to his name already.

He is also averaging a block per game and 3 clearances per game. His discipline record is very impressive picking just 3 yellow cards and no match order to his name.

Lindelof joined Manchester United from Benfica for a fee of €35 million in 2017
