Why the RB Leipzig players wore different shirts against Spurs

RB Leipzig impressed neutrals with their performance against Tottenham on Wednesday night, but they also attracted interest for another reason.

Some players were caught wearing shirts with a yellow sponsor – while others were wearing shirts with a white sponsor.

The reason for this? An embarrassing mix-up from the kit man.

“On the way from the hotel the kit wasn’t complete in the different boxes,” Nagelsmann told a post-match news conference.

“It wasn’t on the bus, and that’s why there was a bit of a mix-up.

“Don’t worry! It’ll certainly be sorted out for the second leg. We’ll have the right kit.”

Mystery solved. But it might be worth double checking next time.
