Ighalo Wont Have Scored Such An Effort if the stadium was not Closed off to supporters - Paul Ince

Paul Ince compared Odion Ighalo's Europa League wondergoal to a training ground exercise, claiming he would not have scored such an effort if the stadium was not closed off to supporters.

Ighalo opened the scoring just before the half hour with a fantastic strike from the edge of the area, while Daniel James, Juan Mata, Mason Greenwood and Andreas Pereira also found the net on a vintage European evening for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's evening.



The Former nigeria Striker took all the plaudits with a Man of thee match performance.

"It reminds me of one of those goals you try in training. If it’s a full house, I don’t know," the former United star explained to BT Sport.


Ince doesn't think Ighalo will have the confidence to score that kind of goal in a stadium filled with fans and alot of pressure.

It is obvious that Paul Ince, a one time Manchester united player doesn't rate Ighalo as he failed to give him full credit for that goal.

"Maybe I’m doing a disservice to him, but I don’t know…"

However Owen Hargreaves, another ex-Red, disagrees. He argued that Ighalo deserved full credit for his creativity and composure to out that stunt.

"Come on, Incey, that’s a beautiful goal! That’s one of the best goals he’s ever scored," the former midfielder argued.

Manchester united now have a 5 goal advantage before the second leg which will be in Old Trafford.

Several key players didn't feature today as Paul pogba , Macus Rashford and others are still injured.




Manchester united next match will be against spurs on Sunday.
