For every friendship you make, there must be ups and downs, and the ability to weather the storm is what makes one to stand the test of time.

A certain man and his friends were pictured campaigning for an election, and luckily, one of them got elected as the governor of a State in this country.

Now, here is the short story.

Otunba Gbenga Daniel, was an engineer, who graduated from the prestigious University of Lagos. After setting up his engineering firm in Lagos, he later ventured into politics.

Daniel and his friends from Ogun State, went back home and started planning on how to take over the leadership of the State, hence, they all joined politics.

After a rigorous campaign through out the thick and thin of Ogun State, with his friends, Daniel became a governor, and spent 8 years on the post.

After his exit, one of his two other friends they started together, Ibikunle Amosun, ran on another platform and became a governor, and also spent 8 years on the seat.

This picture confirms that Gbenga Daniel, Ibikunle Amosun and Dapo Abiodun the current governor of Ogun State are childhood friends.




Dapo Abiodun, who is the third friend is now the governor of the State.

Although, they may appear to have political differences, but we cannot ignore the fact that they were friends from the days of humble beginning.

Despite being childhood friends, Gbenga Daniel and Amosun had a serious political battle, while the former was the governor of Ogun State.

The same thing is playing out with Amosun and Dapo Abiodun now.

Amosun was one of the people who stood in the way of Abiodun by presenting another challenger, Akinlade on another platform to contest against his childhood friend.

But, all these are a mere political fight of interest, because what joined them when they were younger, may have gradually shreds apart as they become adults and political bigwigs.

Despite their political differences, the three of them still meets at occasions and laugh together.
