'Is She The Only Girl Taken by Boko Haram'? Nigerians Drag Leah Sharibu's Parents As She turns 17

Dr. Gloria Samdi Puldi who is the spoke person for Leah Sharibu family and president of Leadership Empowerment Advocacy and Humanitarian Foundation (an NGO) has said the parents of the abducted school girl, Nathan and Rebecca Sharibu are still in great pains owing to the fact that their daughter is yet to be rescued.






While speaking to PUNCH on activities to mark Leah Sharibu's up coming 17th birthday and second year in captivity.

Dr. Samdi Puldi said the government had made series of promises of rescuing Leah and till date nothing has been done, she accused the government of insincerity and deceiving Nigerians.







Leah Sharibu will turn 17 on the 14th of May 2020 making it the second year she is spending with the Terrorist group Boko Haram.

She was born on May 14th, 2003 and was a student of Government Girl's Science and Technical College, Dapchi Yobe State until she was abducted by Boko Haram operatives on February 19th, 2018 alongside several other school girls.






When the Federal government intervened the other girls were relesead but Leah Sharibu was held back because she refused to renounce her Christian faith.

But some Nigerians are not impressed or feel any more pity for the Sharibu family plight.

Some are asking if she is the only person who has been Kidnapped by Boko Haram.
