'I Want to Go Home' - Barcelona Star Wants to Return to Nigeria Despite Ban on Flights

FC Barcelona striker and Super Falcons goal machine, Asisat Oshoala has expressed her desire to return to Nigeria after a long stay in Spain. The women's league in Spain is over and Barcelona have won the league, hence no football activity for the ladies and the Barcelona striker is already homesick.





Asisat has won the African Footballer of the Year 4 times and is arguably the most prominent African women's footballer now. Asisat finished second on the goal scorers' chart behind her Barcelona teammate, Jennie Hermoso.





Asisat is also a popular figure in Lagos. Staying indoors away from home can be boring, no wonder Asisat wants to return home.

Flights from outside the country are not yet allowed due to the Federal Government's ban on flights due to the pandemic.





Asisat came to Barcelona on loan and was later signed on a permanent deal after a stellar season with the Catalan club. She scored Barcelona's only goal in the 2019 Champions League final against Lyon, a game Barcelona lost 4-1 to the French giants
