Did You Know Queen Elizabeth Never Went To School?

Queen Elizabeth never went to school. Queen Elizabeth, the queen of England never sat down in an educational institution designed to provide learning spaces and learning environments for the teaching of students (or "pupils") under the direction of teachers. What Oyibo calls formal education.

But that does not mean she is not educated. Lilibet as she was fondly called by her family, because her younger sister Margaret constantly mispronounced her name when she was a child was taught by private tutors at home. Same goes for her younger sister, Princess Margaret.

The duo were taught by different teachers like the then vice provost of boys college: Eton college, Henry Marten, the then Archbishop of Canterbury, William Cosmo Gordon Lang, 1st Baron Lang of Lambeth and her nanny, Marion Crawford, who the royal family later ostracized for writing a tell-all book in 1953 called The Little Princesses about the childhood days of the queen without their permission.

"This is hypocritical" I can hear you say,because the British do not regard as an illiterate as they do to our ancestors, who received the same type of education with her, especially African royal families, who were taught by high priests and other cultural tutors.


The essence of this article is not to discourage school education but to encourage home education, especially in this post COVID-19 era.
