The Six Minute Match, The Shortest Ever Game In Spanish League History

Real Madrid and Real Sociedad hold the record for being part of the shortest ever game in Spanish league history. It was just about 6 minutes long.

That's right, it started in 87th minute, with an additional 3 minutes of injury time were added on.

And that's because the previous 86 minutes had already been played 3 weeks ago, before the stadium had to be evacuated after a bomb scare. As someone from ETA (Basque Separatist Group) had called the newspaper that a bomb has been planted at Bernabéu.

The Bernabéu was evacuated within 15 minutes. Fortunately, it proved to be a hoax and nobody was hurt. The score was 1-1 before the game had to be stopped, and it was agreed that the final 6 minutes would be continued 3 weeks later.
