“Don’t believe all you see on social media”. Nigerian woman shows how she faked a credit alert.

Gloria Kalu is the ceo of a travel agency, and she took to her social media platform to share a story with photos on how she faked a credit alert and some messages.





She shared the story to warn people and according to her “don’t believe all you see on social media”. She said this is what scammers and some online vendors do.







Gloria said she couldn’t sleep so she picked up her phone and decided to try somethings out.

She shared photos of a fake conversation and a credit alert she made through the use of some phone applications.

Her words, “This is actually a fake conversation. I just designed As sleep decided to leave me this night. So I decided to do one or 2 stuff with my phone. Then I remembered this. Don't believe all you see on social media.”

“There are apps(whatsmock) and CREDIT ALERT app that could be used to deceive people.”

According to Gloria, people use applications to deceive people and set people up by creating fake mails and messages.

She said the applications have what it takes to make any conversation look real. She made a conversation with herself and shared it.






Her words, “In case you are not aware there are apps like this. People use it as a proof of conversation. They can use it to set people up. Or false evidence against people. It has every features you need to make it appear as a real conversation between you and another person.”






She also listed some features the applications have that could be used to fake a message.

Her words, “I tell you the app was made in a way that you can adjust the time, change the senders status and add his or her pictures. You can adjust the date, you can add your wall paper with your picture to make it more real. you can add voice notes, everything but it has water mark which can be covered properly and no one will know.”

Gloria claims business owners use it to deceive potential customers/clients by faking testimonials or reviews.

Her words, “Some people have been acused wrongly with such false evidence. Some business people use it to deceive you on fake testimonials. Scammers also use this kind of things to deceive their prey. Be guided and do every scrutiny. If social media no Kill us we kill it.”
