Visiting Drake’s Palace: A Tour in His Incredible Home in Toronto

The luxury of this 50,000 square feet home is literally in every socket. And no wonder: the interiors were created by designer and architect Ferris Rafauli, whose specialization is a heavy lux.

They built a snow-white mansion from scratch and forever. «I would like my house to stand for at least a hundred years,» admits famous rapper. If his dream comes true, then the mansion will definitely be turned into a museum named after Drake. Because there really is something to see! The host himself describes the decor as crazy sexy cool that will amaze you from the doorway!





The architecture of 19th-century mansions was the main source of inspiration for the creation of this man-made masterpiece. Rafauli also mentioned Art Deco Bozar and styles in the interior. The designer said that they used many noble and exotic types of noble materials: bronze, wood, limestone, marble, and some other materials. Any detail you see there – whether it is a door handle or a chair – is a rarity.


THE DESIGNER ALSO ADDED THAT HE TOOK THE CLASSIC ART DECO STYLE AS A BASIS AND TRANSFORMED IT INTO A MODERN STYLE, TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE STYLE OF HIS CLIENT.





The scale of the house is undoubtedly amazing! You get into the gigantic size hall. The area is decorated with Nero Marquina marble, ebony panels, and antique mirrors. Ceilings are 13.5 meters high. This gives an excellent sound for the giant piano by Bösendorfer. The expensive masterpiece was created by the collaboration of Takashi Murakami and Ferris Rafauli. Actually, the inner side of the instrument is decorated with skulls painted in Takashi’s corporate style.

Let’s go further, the chandelier in the big hall is an updated version of the interior item, which previously hung in the New York Metropolitan Opera in 1963, and is made of 20 thousand Swarovski crystals! Oh my God, can you just imagine it?!


Another fantastic room is the yellow lounge. Its main decoration is a chandelier made of panels with a hexagonal structure. All furniture in the yellow lounge is covered in suede and ostrich leather.


But Drake’s favorite is his bedroom. Really gigantic: its area is 297 square meters (3,200-square-foot). There is a king-size bed. It weighs almost a ton, and of course, we know that it costs more than the whole houses of some people! Moreover, antique mirrors, a leather-covered headboard, and a bar built into the reverse side made it even more expensive. Plus, a fur cover and Alexander McQueen textiles, as well as bedside tables with mother-of-pearl inserts.




Hästens Drake’s bed actually weighs a ton. In truth, it’s even heavier because it has a real bar with alcohol! Not surprisingly, that rapper adores this room that much (just joking)! «The bedroom is the place where I can relax from the whole world» shared rapper.
