Meet the Man that has about 439 adopted daughters

Adoption of children has been encouraged in our society both by government and religious leaders. Couples without a child could adopt one, two or more children but couples with children could adopt just a child too. What then should we say about a man who has adopted over 400 fatherless ladies and sponsored the wedding of 439 Of his adopted daughters.

Mahesh Savani is from Bhavnagar, Gujarat in India. He is a successful business man that is into real estate and trade on diamonds too.







So where did it all began?

So many years ago, he lost his brother and when it was time for his neice(his brothers daughter) to get married, Mahesh stepped up and performed the duties of a father.It was nothing to him since she is a family member, but this kept him thinking, He began asking himself how will other countless young girls whose father are dead usually arrange for their wedding? Another incident that happened which moved him again was the death of one of his employees who died 12 days to his daughter's wedding. When Mahesh discovered the difficulty the family was facing in carrying out the wedding due to hardship, he stepped in as a foster father .


Mahesh went on to adopt several fatherless girls from his village, irrespective of religion.He has so far married off 439 of his daughters and spent Rs400000(2,160,000 naira) to give each a colourful wedding. He gives them gifts of gold, silver etc. He also gives the couple Rs450000(2,430,000 naira) to start off their union.
