7-Year-Old Girl Is Slowly Turning Into Stone, Doctors Say Her Skin Condition Has No Cure

Good health is one of the greatest gifts from God that we as humans really need to appreciate. Diseases have made the world a living hell for the victims of various infections. A good number of people all over the world are stuck in hospital beds, with pain as their companion, unable to lead a normal life, most suffering from deadly diseases like Cancer, Ebola, Covid19 among others. Funnily, most of us never realise the value of good health until we get infected and have a taste of ill health.




Well, the story of a seven year old girl from India should change our perception to appreciate good health. Rajeshwari is suffering from a very rare skin infection called Ichthyosis. Although the disease is not life threatening, the young girl is in a lot of pain. She can barely move or engage in any activity without experiencing physical pain. Her arms, legs, feet, hands, parts of her stomach and back are covered in blisters. Apart from the physical pain, Rajeshwari also suffers emotional or psychological pain, her condition is likely to lead her into isolation which would ultimately result to depression.






Health Experts say the disease is an incurable. The condition causes the skin to become dry, hard and thick resembling a stone. Being genetic, the condition is inherited from parents and passed to offsprings. Children born with the condition normally exhibit the symptoms of the disease few months after birth. It's also possible for parents with no symptoms of the disease to conceive babies with the condition.
