#BBNaija: Laycon the most popular housemate causes three Trends Simultaneously on Twitter

On the 1st of September 2020, Oppo, a mobile phone producing company posted the pictures of the Big Brother Nigeria housemates on Twitter and asked fans to retweet and like the pictures of their favourite housemate who would eventually become a brand ambassador for the company, and laycon's fans made the #OppoXLaycon trend on twitter, with a very big margin in difference between the vote Laycon had compared to other housemates, a phenomenon they termed "social distancing.


























Also on the same day, While discussing with other housemates after the Johnny Walker #Highballchallange task, Laycon said "apple apple boys" referring to Neo and Ozo, and in less than 2 minutes "apple apple" started trending on Twitter.






The third trend set by Laycon on the same day, was his team name "Team Gold" which comprised of Laycon, Vee and Nengi. The team name became a trending topic on Twitter because of the presence of Laycon on the team.
