The reason why Eric Lamela wore different boots

For those football fans who pay very good attention to even the smallest of details, you might have wondered if the Tottenham Hotspurs man, Eric Lamela, put on different adidas boots in the game or it is just the same boots with different colors.

Some might have just thought that the latter is true as it is common practice for manufacturers tend to play around with color designs for their boots. Unfortunately not, this wasn't the case for the Spurs man's boots, but it is true for those who observed it that the spurs man did wear two different boots from adidas. The player had two different boots in the match against Newcastle United over the weekend in the Premier League and again in the match against Chelsea on Tuesday evening in the EFL cup. Lamela could be seen wearing a red wiht blue and white trims F50 adiZero TRX on his right and a blue with white trims Copa 20.1 on his left foot.


Since the truth is as is, one then wonders why is that, why would a professional player who is sponsored by adidas themselves not having the right gear for the match? Well the answer to this is simple, Lamela said "I have a problem with my right foot. Adidas are making me a new boot for me which should arrive tomorrow (Wednesday). Until then, I play like this."

The player injuries are well documented and if this helps him get through games without pain it is good news for the team and the player. He was arguably the man of the match in the EFL cup match against Chelsea and helped ensure that his team go through into the next round as he scored the all important equalizer.
