After Desmond Elliot Called Youths Children Another Lagos Lawmaker Has Called Them Drug Addicts

Another Lagos lawmaker has lambasted the youths over the palliative looting. The lawmaker representing Amuwo Odofin constituency 1 of Lagos State, Mojisola Alli-Macaulay, says most Nigerian youths are high on drugs all the time.




According to the Punch Newspaper Alli-Macaulay made the statement during a plenary session at the Lagos State House of Assembly on the looting and pandemonium in the wake of the #EndSARS protest that was hijacked by hoodlums.


She further said unemployment is a global issue and of such youths should not use it as an excuse for looting. In her words “I schooled in the UK and I saw a lot of young people who were not employed but they didn’t become hoodlums. Why can’t we look inwards and look for solutions to our problems?”.

She proffer solution to unemployment by saying youths could get jobs in the informal sector rather than complaining about joblessness.


Remember another Lagos lawmaker Desmond Elliot had also called the youths "children" which did not go down well with the youths who took to social media and criticized him, afterwards he apologized.
