They were a few women who made marked at the protest ground and history will always remember them for the victory of this day. One of those women was Aisha Yesufu, a Muslim lady all the way from Edo state, she didn't allow gender to discriminate her, she didn't mind that she was a lady, instead she took to the forefront of the protest against all odds from police she was not moved.






Aisha Yesufu is a Nigerian social and political activist, she was brought to limelight in 2014 during the #BBOG campaign, that is bring back our girls. She was one of the women activist who led the protest and since then she has always had the interest of Nigerians at heart. She is currently 46 years of age, born in December 1974 at Kano state, she completed her first degree program at bayero state University. Aisha didn't follow the usual pattern of early marriage, she got married at age 24 while she was still in the university where she studied microbiology.

This woman didn't just risk her life, she also showed us that what aan can do, a women can also do better, her religion did not stop her from following the truth. We need more women like Aisha in this country if we want to progress forward.
