After A Soldier Was Caught Assaulting A Lady, This is What Happen To Him

The Oyo State security outfit, Operation Burst, said on Monday that it had arrested some of its personnel for allegedly assaulting a lady in the Beere community, Ibadan.


The woman was claimed to have been beaten by certain soldier connected to the security group over charge of 'indicent dressing.'


Video demonstrating the attack on the woman, whose identity presently can't seem to be learned, turned into a web sensation at the end of the week.












In a viral video, a young lady wearing a camisole and orange attachment was made to sit on the bare floor at a filling station, while a soldier whipped her buttocks.



Residents of Beere community have accused the soldiers of assaulting some of them on flimsy excuses in recent times.

While answering questions on a popular radio programme, FRESH FM Situation Room, transmitted on FRESH FM 105.9 on Monday, Usolo apologized to the families of those assaulted in the course of their operation.

The state Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Seun Fakorede, described the conduct of the soldiers as “unlawful”.

Mr Fakorede said the officers have been arrested and taken in for disciplinary actions.

“My ears are full of news of the unlawful activities of some Soldiers of the Nigerian Army, over the weekend,” he wrote on Twitter.






“I have immediately reached out to the Commandant of the Operation Burst and I’ve been assured that the men involved in this distasteful operation have been arrested and taken to the barracks — they will be dealt with accordingly.

“This will not repeat itself again in Oyo State. Please, kindly go about your daily business and activities without fear. Thank you.”

He said the security outfit, Operation Burst, has admitted the video and apologised to the families of those assaulted by the erring officers.
