Arteta Speaks On Aubameyang And Partey As Ole Gunnar Reveals Why Arsenal Won

When Mikel Arteta said on October 31st that Manchester United's recent way of playing, formation and numerous options in terms of players to settle for would be a threat to Arsenal, lots of people thought that he was conceding defeat even before the start of the game.

Oblivious to Manchester United, Arteta seem to have subtly revealed that their trick has been known and that it was being studied for a possible tackle.

At the same time, he might have been using his comments and praise of Manchester's perceived superiority just to lull them to complacency and hit them when they least expect it.


I say this because after 90 minutes of a tight encounter between the Londoners and the Red Devils today on November 1st, Arteta's boys took all the three points at Old Trafford courtesy of one goal by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.







After clumsily failing to net a thing or two and frustrate their opponents with their superior performance, Manchester United which are known for fetching penalty goals time and again were this time on the receiving end of that same treatment after a foul play by Paul Pogba.


Aubameyang was given the chance to take the penalty and the Gabon national couldn't let Arsenal's big and probably only chance go to waste.



He made it 0-1 at minute 69 after driving home a wonderful kick.

The penalty motivated the Red Devils to work extra harder this time pushing to equalize things and not think of winning the game.






Unfortunately for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, his boys weren't good enough and Mikel Arteta had to take all the three points as he moved to London a proud man.

On his part, Manchester United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed that Arsenal won because "they were better than us" especially as witnessed in the first half.
