Elderly People Spotted at Calabar Blocking the whole Road with Chairs

While the #endsars Protesters began a new protest in Abuja, retired people in Calabar began theirs yesterday, second of November. Their interest is for Government to pay their Money.


These elders retired people hindered the entire street with seats and halted each vehicle and driver coming and shouting "No Road!" as loud as possible. Their appearance mirrors a ton of dissatisfaction; for these old individuals rely upon their annuity to make due since the greater part of them are as of now hagard to participate in different sorts of work young people do.


These beneficiaries were heard reciting "Ayade pay us our benefits cash, we have been enduring since 2014 and have turned to asking, we worked for it, pay us our cash".

Mrs. Stella Odey, Cross River State Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, said the government isn't owing checked beneficiaries.

She anyway urge them to answer to their finance for legitimate screening and guaranteed them that their benefits will be paid.


She added that a few checks was set up in view of the significant level of phantom specialists.

"Do you realize that government has been paying so many apparition retired people? That is the reason we are doing screening", she said

She said the Government doesn't owe beneficiaries, that the individuals who haven't got any installment have not been screened.
