Mikel Arteta's Statement After Drawing To Leeds Leaves Arsenal Fans Angry

Arsenal were lucky to escape with a point from Elland Road during Sunday's Premier League clash with Leeds United.

The Gunners were forced to play majority of the second half with 10 men after Nicholas Pepe was shown a red card for a very unprofessional act to head butt Olioski.

Leeds will however feel they could have got much more from the game which they hit so many posts as Arsenal looked very out of ideas going forward.




In the end, it was more of a relief to Arsenal to walk away with a point in a game which many fans expected a win and though many will speak of the red card, the gunners once again proved their big weakness in creating chances which has left some fans calling for the re-call of Mesut Ozil.

Speaking after the match, Arteta however seemed to have watched a different first half when asked on how his side did not manage a shot on target in that first 60 minutes.

In reply he said, “There were other shots, one hit the bar, another one very close to that. It’s not a matter of just a shot on target or not, it’s the opportunities we created. In the first-half, for periods, we were better.”
