"Shame on you" Nigerians blast Adamu Garba for failure to show up in court against Twitter CEO, Jack

Nigerian human rights lawyer and legal practitioner, Tope Akinyode has revealed that his counter lawsuit against Adamu Garba has been adjourned to 22nd April, 2021 after Adamu and his lawyers failed to show up at the court today.

Recall that former presidential aspirant, Adamu instituted a $1 billion suit against the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Founder of Twitter International Company, Jack Dorsey, at the Federal High Court, Abuja, over alleged sponsorship of the ongoing EndSARS Protest across the country.
However, Akinyode challenged it by filing a counter-suit adding that the freedom of expression needs to be protected in the country, whilst commending Jack's support.
Providing an update for the court session which was allegedly meant to hold today, Akinyode said on Twitter.




"BREAKING: I was at the Federal High Court today to defend Adamu Garba'a lawsuit against @jack and @Twitter. However,


@adamugarba & his lawyers failed to show up in Court without given reasons & the Court has now adjourned case to 22nd April, 2021."




It's yet to be known why Adamu and his lawyers failed to honour the suit as he had just mentioned that his lawsuit against Jack was still in the cards. Providing an update yesterday after DMW act, Peruzzi asked, Adamu said.


"Very much so, our first hearing should be before end of this month, hopefully. @peruzzi."
