Timo Werner wrote his name to the record book on Wednesday night, after scoring a brace of Penalties for Frank Lampard led Chelsea at Stamford Bridge against French Ligue 1 giants Rennes FC in the week three of the UEFA Champions League.




The Germany star continues his impressive performance for the English Premier League giants as he scored again via the spot kicks to gave Chelsea the deserved win over ten-man Rennes in the UEFA Champions League.

Werner scored a Penalty in the 10th minutes to opened scoring before he doubled it in the 41st minutes, before Tammy Abraham completed the scores to make it 3-0.







Timo Werner's double penalties means he has broken a new record as;



"Timo Werner is the first German to score two penalties in a single European Cup/Champions League match since Lothar Mathaus for Bayern Munich versus Real Madrid in April 1987."
