COVID-19: Resumption For Nigerian Universities May Be Postponed As PTF Slams VCs

Resumption of Nigeria Universities may subsequently hit rock as the second phase of the historic novel of corona virus in rapidly increasing daily.

Following a long deliberation by the Presidential Task Force to decide if the initially agreed date will still be feasible for resumption and the meeting was successful which prompted schools to reopen on the 18th of January, 2021.


Things seems to be going wrong lately as different strains of corona virus is seen and active cases increasing rapidly on daily bases. To this effect, the Presidential Task Force have slammed Vice Chancellors of Nigeria Universities to hold and or shift her resumption dates a bit. These is done to ensure that lifes of students and lecturer are secured.


According to the response given by one of the VC (his name and school name withheld) " We have put in place every needed materials to prevent the spread of the virus, thus, schools are safe to be reopened."
