Thomas Tuchel Reveals The Chelsea Player He Has Waited Many Years To Work With

Chelsea new head coach Thomas Tuchel has revealed that he isn't much of a stranger to his current blues squad.

The German tactician took over the hot seat at Chelsea, following the dismissal of club legend Frank Lampard on Monday.

Tuchel has began life at Stamford bridge, after leading his team through their first training session, and also his first epl game as a blues manager against Wolves.

The game ended goaless, but there were positives to take out from the game, as blues fans had the opportunity to see the tactical prowess of their new manager during the game.

While delivering his post match press conference, the German revealed that he is quite aware of the ability of some players in the Chelsea squd.

He went on to admit that he has also been waiting to coach Chelsea's diminutive holding midfielder Ngolo Kante for years.

Recall that Kante was linked with a move to Psg, during the German's time in France, and is excited to finally have him in his team, alongside players like club captain Ceaser Aziplicueta.

Thomas Tuchel had this to say after the draw against Wolves on Wednesday evening,

"The funny thing is when you join a team in the middle of the season, I already know the likes of Kai [Havertz], Timo [Werner], Toni [Rudiger]", Tuchel revealed.

"I wanted many years to have N'Golo Kante in my team and now I have him here, also Olivier Giroud, we have a clear picture".

"I have been following the Premier League for many years both in Dortmund, and in Paris so I have a clear picture of what the guys are capable of. To find a guy like [Cesar] Azpilicueta in your office is simply amazing because in the end I am also a fan of football".


Next up for Thomas Tuchel and Chelsea will be an Epl game to Burnley, as he will be hoping to get his first win as a blues manager
