NAF releases complete names of officers and craftman that died in a military plane crash (Photos)

The Nigeria Air Force has published the names of the seven (7) Air Force officers and a craftman that died in the military aircraft that crashed in the early hours of Sunday February 21, 2021 in Abuja.

In a statement released few hours after the ugly incident by Air Vice Marshal Ibikunle Daramola, the Director of Public Relations and Information; the deceased officers names include the following:

1. Flight Lieutenant Haruna Gadzama (Captain)

2. Flight Lieutenant Henry Piyo (Co-Pilot)

3. Flying Officer Micheal Okpara (Airborne Tactical Observation System ATOS Specialist)


4. Warrant Officer Bassey Etim (ATOS Specialist)

5. Flight Sergent Olasunkanmi Olawunmi (ATOS Specialist)


6. Sergeant Ugochukwu Oluka (ATOS Specialist)

7. Air Craftman Adewale Johnson (Onboard Technician)

AVM Daramola said the Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Vice Marshal Oladayo Amao has constituted an investigative panel to ascertain the remote and immediate causes of the crash.

The Chief of Air Staff has however, extends his deepest condolence to the family of the deceased officers and the Nation as a whole over the loss of these vibrant Air heroes
