Arsenal press conference live: Unai Emery on his future, boos and draw to Southampton

The Gunners had to wait until added time to rescue a point against a struggling Saints side

Good evening and welcome to the Emirates where Unai Emery will be addressing the media following Arsenal's 2-2 draw with Southampton.

The Spaniard decided to stay with a back three as the Gunners welcomed the relegation-threatened Saints. Calum Chambers, Sokratis and David Luiz completed the defence and were flanked by Hector Bellerin.

Further upfield, Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira were the midfield pair behind Mesut Ozil. With Nicolas Pepe still left on the bench, Alexandre Lacazette partnered club captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang up front.

Southampton took the lead after nine minutes as Ryan Bertrand caught the Gunners napping. He found Danny Ings with a quick free kick which the striker forced in off the post.

After a good move down the left, the ball was pinging around the box and eventually found its way to Lacazette. The Frenchman composed himself and lashed the ball home to equalise.

Pepe was brought on at half-time and almost had an immediate impact. Within 10 minutes he had been involved in three big chances, coming closest when he fired a acrobatic volley onto the crossbar.

The Saints worked their way back int the game, however, and were back ahead with 20 minutes to play. Kieran Tierney dragged Danny Ings back for a penalty which James Ward-Prowse finished at the second time of asking.

Lacazette struck again late on to level the scores once again and salvage a point for Emery.
