Marcos Llorente & Hector Herrera could play together again

Everyone deserves a second chance, so they say.

This weekend, the midfield pairing of Marcos Llorente and Hector Herrera are set to be given their second chance against Granada.

They played together in the middle in Atletico Madrid's 1-1 draw away at Alaves last month, a match that didn't go to plan and that saw Llorente replaced at half time and his Mexican colleague taken off 15 minutes later.

They did play together for one minute towards the very end of the Espanyol win, but the Alaves first half was basically the only time they've played together and it didn't go great.

This weekend, though, the suspensions to Thomas Partey and Saul have left a void in the middle and Simeone has been working with Llorente and Herrera in training.

He'll hope it's second time lucky for this partnership as they visit Granada.
