Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud is close to reaching an agreement with Inter, claims L’Equipe.

The 33-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge under Frank Lampard, playing only seven times this season.

He has subsequently been linked with a January move to Inter, who are in need of reinforcements, particularly up front as Alexis Sanchez is injured

Now, L’Equipe is reporting Giroud is on the verge of agreeing personal terms with the Nerazzurri.

However, the Beneamata still need to negotiate a fee with Chelsea for his transfer.

The Frenchman wants regular playing time ahead of Euro 2020, and he could get it in the Europa League following Inter’s exit from the Champions League.
