Punish Genesis For Having K1, "Ogboni Man", Perform On Church Altar, Man Canvasses With Evidence

The controversial matter of King of music, Wasiu Ayinde Anifowoshe Marshal, performing on the altar at a recently held harvest programme by Celestial Church of Christ Genesis Global, has kept getting more interesting by the day. While the Senior Sheperd-in-Charge of the popular Church, Prophet Israel Oladele Ogundipe better referred to as Genesis is still facing stiff criticism within and outside the fold of the Celestial denomination for bringing a Muslim and Alhaji for that matter to "minister with music" at the event tagged: "Harvest of Massive Mercy", another dimension has been twisted into the story by a member of the public on Facebook.

Mr. Kayode Ajala, a media personality and strong member of the Celestial Church had posted on his Facebook timeline gist from the Convocation held at the Celestial Church Headquarters in Imeko, Ogun State, which went on for about a week and ended on Christmas day, that he titled: " Good News from Imeko 2019 Convocation" wherein he highlighted major happenings at the crowd pulling annual celebration. And in the comment section, another media personality and Publisher of Global Excellence Magazine, Mr. Mayor Akinpelu, raised a question as to whether Genesis had been truly suspended by the Headquarters for bringing K1 to his Church to perform as reported in a section of the media.

And before Mr. Ajala could answer to that poser, a very angry man who is apparently a member of the Celestial fold, voiced his strong dissatisfaction to what Genesis did to the sacredness of the Church by bringing an artiste who is an "Ogboni Man" to perform on the altar. According to the man named Olufemi Somotun, a Public Affairs Analyst, Connectologist and Communication Strategist, it was wrong to bring a secular musician to minister in the Church, especially, one that is an "Ogboni Member" like K1.

"...bringing a secular musician to ministered (sic) in the Church is wrong. If the musician was invited as a guest to attend or participate in the Churche's worship, there is no problem about that. K1 as an Ogboni member should not be allowed to sing in the Church. Thank you." He contended. And by the time Mr. Ajala would respond to Mayor Akinpelu's question that, " No Shepherd was suspended. However, repeated violations of the rules and tenets of the Church by the Shepherd in question are being looked into and appropriate recommendations will be submitted at the end of the exercise," the Public Affairs Analyst had gone into his archive to fetch an evidence to further nail Genesis to the cross.

He posted an invitation card to The Reformed Ogboni Fraternity (Inc.), Iledi Okota, Lagos Region 1 "O" Division's 6th Year Anniversary held on Tuesday, 17th September, 2019, on which the picture of K1 is conspicuous printed as "Lisa Elect", to prove that the Fuji music legend truly belong to the group as he accused earlier. A reason which he strongly condemned his being allowed to step on the Genesis' Church altar to perform.

Meanwhile, as the members of the public await the final verdict of the Celestial Church Headquarters against Genesis who had reportedly threatened to withdraw his Church from the General Body of the Celestial Church in the country for coming to check his "excesses", it is hoped that they would find a point of convergence in the middle where the issue would be resolved amicably.
