Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta will not be in charge against 

Everton on Saturday as he doesn’t take over at the 

Emirates until Sunday. The Gunners unveiled the Spaniard 

as their new manager on Friday afternoon.

The Gunners were hoping to have the former

 Manchester City coach in charge for their trip to 

Everton on Saturday afternoon.

However, delays due to compensation which needed to 

be paid to City slowed the announcement.

As a result, Arteta officially takes charge on Sunday, 

meaning his first training session will be on Sunday or 

Monday.
