Zidane: Casemiro played and we'll see what happens in next game against Valencia

Zinedine Zidane saw his Real Madrid side beat Club Brugge 3-1 in Belgium on Wednesday night, yet afterwards he hinted that Casemiro will not play Los Blancos' match against Valencia at the weekend.

The Brazilian would be at risk of missing El Clasico if he were to pick up a yellow card at Mestalla, which meant that Casemiro's presence at the Jan Breydel Stadium was to be expected.

"The game's over, that's it," Zidane said when asked about Casemiro.

"He played and we'll see [what happens] in the next one [against Valencia]."

Vinicius Junior has often been criticised for not bringing goals to his game, but the 19-year-old got on the scoresheet alongside Rodrygo Goes and Luka Modric in Belgium.

"We are happy for him, for Rodrygo and for Luka," he stated.

"We have to keep going because we are in good form, at a good level.

"We must continue doing what we're doing."

Los Merengues have played well in recent weeks and, despite a series of changes, they adapted to Club Brugge's play to emerge with a victory.

"I think we had a difficulty with their pressure," Zidane admitted.

"We had a tough 10 or 15 minutes, until the team adjusted."

With trips to Valencia and Barcelona on the horizon, coming on December 15 and 18 respectively, Zidane is confident.

"I'm not worried, we're coming into the next three games in good form," he explained.

"Now we have to rest and enjoy this victory.
