BREAKING: FIFA set to strip VAR license off Premier League

The English Premier League may be asked to adopt the VAR protocols of the International Football Association (IFAB) or they risk their license be revoked.

The use of the new technology has continued to cause controversy in the Premier League on New Year's Day, Aston Villa had their goal ruled out for offside when Wesley's heel was said to be in an offside position.

The VAR decision is another in the series of incidents from last year December, which has been a thing of anger to several Premier League fans and pundits.

The International Football Association's General Secretary, Lukas Brud, stated last week that the officials both on the pitch and monitoring cameras should not become "too forensic" over certain offsides or any other decisions in the game.
