Get Me Demiral! Mikel Arteta Orders The Arsenal Chiefs To Sign Highly Rated Turkish Defender

Arsenal are targeting Turkish centre-back Merih Demiral after losing on Caglar Soyuncü some two seasons ago to Leicester City.

Demiral joined Juventus after a stellar season at Sassuolo in the Serie A. The commanding centre-back was signed for €18m but she has struggled for game time at Juventus due to the arrival of Matthiajs De Ligt who was signed from Ajax after leading Ajax to the Uefa Champions League semi-final defeating Real Madrid and Juventus during that sensational run.

According to @DiMarzio Leicester City already approached Juventus with a €30m for Demiral as they look to snap him up to partner his compatriot Soyuncü but an opening bid was rejected by Juventus.

Report claims Juventus laso rejected a €40m bid from Borussia Dortmund as they look to fend off interest for the highly rated centre-back. Arsenal are looking to approach Juventus with an opening bid over €50m for Demiral since RB Leipzig are holding off for a fee over €60m for Dayot Upamecano.

Calum Chambers has suffered a ACL to his knee and will undergo surgery in coming weeks. He will be sidelined for over 6 months and to stay in the top flight, Arsenal needs to sign a centre-back and get their season back on track with New Head Coach, Mikel Arteta.

Merih Demiral has played a total of 5 games for Juventus since joining the Serie A giants and his lack of game time can be used to get him off from Juventus.

Meanwhile Arsenal Director of football, Raul Sanhelli has said he doesn't believe so much in January transfer window despite the club's need for a centre-back.

He said "I don't believe much in the winter window," he said last year. "There are exceptions.

"But if you have the right plan in the summer and the team are performing at the level you expect, you should not go to that window or try to avoid it.
