UEFA announce the date to play the remaining fixtures of the Champions League and Europa League

The European governing body has announced when the remaining fixtures of the Champions League and Europa League will be played.


The Uefa committee did a video conference meeting on Tuesday where the date and time were decided.

UEFA postponed the Euro tournament to 2021, the Euro was scheduled for the summer of 2020 but the outbreak of coronavirus has affected the plans.


With Euro now moved to 2021, the Sumer will be used to complete the Champions League pending fixtures as the football calendar welcomes adjustments.

The venue of the final still remain at Istanbul, the final dates for the Europa League and Champions League were May 27 and May 30 respectively but the outbreak of the deadly virus ensured that the dates were adjusted.

Real Madrid trip to England to face Manchester City while Barcelona is supposed to welcome Napoli in the reverse fixture but were scrapped due to the spread of coronavirus.

Valencia, Liverpool Borussia Dortmund and Tottenham Hotspurs are already out of the Champions league so the new arrangement does not really affect them as well as those that have exited the Europa League.
