"Instagram Comedian Father DMW Was Once My Gate Man" - Davido Reveals

Since the lock down began around the world, celebrities have taken to social media to communicate with fans. One feature that has been harnessed judiciously is Instagram Live, a feature that lets user video call each other while also letting their followers join and comment, in simpler terms a live video but online.

Recently Made Men Music Group CEO Ubi Franklin & DMW CEO Davido went on Instagram Live to discuss music and Davido’s growth in the Nigerian entertainment scene. During their conversations, Ubi Franklin chipped in and applauded Davido for always making sure everyone in his team was doing alright from his musical staff to his domestic staff, Davido humbly responded that he has never taken any money from any of his artistes and he doesn’t need it, his artistes are not just his workers but also his friends so whatever they make from shows and endorsements is theirs.


He also revealed IG sensation right now Father DMW was once his gate man. The Instagram comedian (@fatherdmw55) who has 227k followers was once just an ordinary Hausa man opening and closing the gate of Davido’s mansion in Lekki before Davido brushed him up and popular.
