Frank Lampard names two youngsters who would join the first team next season

The Blues boss has given chances to a number of young players this season, with Scottish midfielder Gilmour impressing in a couple of matches prior to football's suspension

Frank Lampard namechecked two Chelsea youngsters when asked who the next young talents to break into first team could be.






Scottish midfielder Billy Gilmour impressed in an FA Cup clash against Liverpool and a Premier League game against Everton prior to the suspension of football last month, and Lampard reckons two more young stars could emerge soon.







Speaking on Sky Sports' 'The Football Show' and when asked by Gary Neville to namecheck who the players to follow Gilmour could be, the Chelsea boss said: "We've had another couple of young players [emerge].

"Tino Anjorin came on against Everton and played in the Carabao Cup earlier in the season, and Ian Maatsen played some minutes.






I don't want to leave out too many others because there are so many good young players that have the potential to come through, but we know the ones that are there.

"One of the first things that we [the coaching team] tried to do at Chelsea was bring them in, and get an idea that if you train well enough in the academy you're not forgotten, it will get flagged, and you will have an opportunity to train with us.

Faustino Adebola Rasheed Anjorin is an English professional footballer of Nigerian descent who plays as a midfielder for Chelsea

And Ian Ethan Maatsen is a Dutch footballer who plays as a defender for Chelsea
