POETRY:- THE RACE

THE RACE

To every human, life is a race

A race no one knows when it will end

A race we all luckily found ourselves in

A race that anyone could be frozen out any moment

Did they forget?

Yes the human

That the race is all about the good points gathered

As savings for the next chapter of no end

Did they forget?

That the race is not about the distance covered

I guess someone needs to be reminded

That the world itself is racing

With a racing world, how then can you get to the finish line?

To the lawmakers

Making laws that gives to the riches a comfort base

But to the poor and needy, a survival race

History repeats itself

A new generation of racers will emerge

And the table might turn

Let the sleeping dog lie

Do not race with the world

For you will never get to the finish line
