Breaking! NCDC announce 381 new cases of coronavirus in Nigeria as confirmed cases toll hit to 3,526

Covid-19 also known as coronavirus is a pandemic which was first detected in Wuhan, a central city in China. In late December of last year. The deadly have spread to more than 200 territories and countries across the globe. More than 1.2million cases are considered to have been cured. The confirmed cases are more than 3.7 million across the globe and also more than 250,000 persons have from the Covid-19 complication as at Thursday 7 the of May 20:00GMT, according to John Hopkin University.




The first Nigeria coronavirus case was discovered in Lagos from an Italian man who was to have returned from Italy on business trip and the first case was detected on 27, February 2020.




Nigeria centre for disease and control (NCDC) announced 381 new confirmed cases in Nigeria on Thursday,7 May,2020 and the cases were recorded from 17 states ,reported as follows;




188 from Lagos




55 from Kano




44 from jigawa




19 from zamfara




19 from Bauchi




11 from katsina




9 from Borno




8 from kwara




7 from kaduna




6 from Gombe




5 from Ogun




4 from Sokoto




3 from Oyo




3 from Rivers




1 from Akwa Ibom




1 from Enugu




1 from Plateau










The NCDC announced the cases via their website and Twitter handle on late Thursday evening.




They also announced that the total confirmed cases of covid-19 in Nigeria as at Thursday 7th of May 2020 is 3,526 with 107 deaths related to coronavirus.




NCDC also announced that 601 persons have been discharged so far after they discharged 67 more patients on Thursday,7 May. They also advice Nigerians to take responsibility by reporting any person with symptoms related to covid-19.

NCDC also announced that no new state record a case of coronavirus in Nigeria for the last 24hours.



The NCDC urged Nigerians to comply with the rules that guided coronavirus which was announced by federal government.


They also advices nigerians to take responsibility by reporting anyone showing symptoms related Covid-19 through the emergency numbers put on their websites for better treatment.
