Breaking! NCDC announced 195 new cases of coronavirus in Nigeria as confirmed cases toll hit 3,145

Covid-19 is a pandemic which was originated from the city of Wuhan in China in late December 2019. The virus have spread to more than 200 countries and territories across the world. At least 1.1 million cases are considered to have been cured. The confirmed cases are more than 3.6 million across the globe as at 6th of May,20:00GMT.

The first Nigeria coronavirus case was discovered in Lagos from an Italian man who returned from Italy on business trip.



Nigeria centre for disease control (NCDC) announced 195 new confirmed cases in Nigeria on Wednesday,6th of May and the cases were recorded from 12 states and FCT as follows;

82 in Lagos,30 in Kano,19 in zamfara,18 in sokoto,10 in Borno,9 in FCT,8 in Oyo,5 in kebbi,5 in Gombe,4 in Ogun,3 in katsina,1 in kaduna,1 in Adamawa state.







The NCDC made the announcement of the confirmed cases via their Twitter handle and their official website on late Wednesday evening.

They also announced that the total confirmed cases of coronavirus in Nigeria as at, Wednesday 6th of May 2020 is 3,145 with 103 deaths related to coronavirus.

NCDC also announced that 534 patients have been discharged so far since 53 patient was discharged on Wednesday ,6 May.

The NCDC added that, no new state has reported a case in the last 24 hours.

NCDC urge nigerians to take responsibility in reporting anyone showing up the symptoms related to coronavirus by contacting the Covid-19 pandemic response team emergency numbers and also advice nigerians to adhere to government policies on Covid-19 pandemic.
