Man Splits Cousin’s Spinal Cord Open Over Mango In Abia (Viewers Discretion)

A man identified as Chinedu Omeonu who is an indigene of Mgboko Umuoria Autonomous Community in Obingwa Local Government Area, has killed his cousin brother.


According to information reaching me, Mr. Chinedu Omeonu inflicted a very deep cut on Solomon Monday Orji who happens to be his cousin and the cut had subsequently led to the death of Solomon.


It was gathered that the son of Solomon Monday Orji had gone to Chinedu's compound to pick some mango fruits and Chinedu out of his hatred for Monday Orji's family flogged the little boy mercilessly to the extent that the boy fainted and was unable to go back to their house.


On hearing what had happened to his son, Solomon rushed to Chinedu's (owner of the mango tree) compound to ask him why he flogged his son mercilessly to the extent that the boy couldn't walk, just because of mango fruit.



A heated argument ensued, as they both exchanged words. The deceased then carried his son home shortly after.


According to eyewitnesses, on his way going back to his house, the suspect went inside his room, picked up a cutlass and rushed towards the victim's house.


Before Solomon could turn back to see who was coming behind him with so much haste, Chinedu had already struck him with the cutlass at the back, splitting it open.


It was learnt that Solomon died on the spot. At that, everyone who witnessed the incident were left dumbfounded as it all happened in split seconds.


As at the time of filling this report, the youths and people of Mgboko Umuoria apprehended Chinedu (the suspect), tortured him and was about handling him over to uniform men.
