Meet the first English team to play a season unbeaten before Arsenal's invisible

When Liverpool football club continued their impressive form before they were beaten 3-0 by Watford few weeks before the impromptu break, many football lovers thought they could play the whole season without a defeat because they were too good but Watford later showed the surprise.



Liverpool could have become the first team with the longest winning streak after breaking Manchester city's 18 matches winning streak before the match but Sarr led Watford to the victory over the Reds.




Liverpool were looking forward to matching Arsenal's a season unbeaten record before Watford game, although Virgil Van Dijk said after the match that they've never thought of the record but just playing their game.

Arsenal fans across the world jubilated when Liverpool unbeaten record came to an end because they don't want them to match their record.



In case you don't know, Arsenal football club are not the only team to play a season unbeaten because it has happened before Arsenal which means Arsenal are the second team to go a season unbeaten.



In 1888-89 season, Preston North End became the first team in English top flight league to go a season unbeaten. Although the league was not called the English Premier league then but it can't be taken away from them.

Arsenal Played their Unbeaten between May 2003 to October 2004. It was called the invisible under then manager Arsene Wenger, but the fifty games unbeaten came to an end in 2004 after losing 2-0 to Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester united ( the goals were scored by Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Wayne Rooney) at Old Trafford.



Ever since that time, no team has been able to try the unbeaten and it has really been a good memory for Preston north End and Arsenal football club.
