Messi's surprising response when he was asked if he would pass to Ronaldo if they play on same team

Lionel Messi ignored his fierce rivalry with Cristiano Ronaldo by suggesting that he would pass to him if they played on the same side. The 32 year old Barcelona captain has suffered a stiff competition with Juventus star Ronaldo on the field.



When Messi was asked if he would pass to the 35 year old Portuguese star, he admitted that he would eventually do so. "I think so, in the end, yes," he told the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.







Ronaldo turned 35 in February. He has scored 25 of 32 games this season and has maintained excellent scoring ability. The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star has scored 11 consecutive league goals in Juventus this season.

Messi, who has revealed his favorite to win the Champions League, scored 24 times in 31 games.

But the Argentine star has 16 assist in all competitions. Messi praised Ronaldo on his recent performance. “It is natural that he continues to score, he is a predatory striker, who loves to score, and any day he plays he will score.” He has many good qualities as a striker and at the minimum he converts.






Despite his competitive rivalry with Messi, Ronaldo ignored the idea that the two stars shared any bad blood.

The five times Ballon d’Or winner praised their competitive rivalry and admitted that he would love to dine with Messi one day.

Ronaldo said before the Champions League draw last August: "We have shared the stage 15 years. I don't know if this has happened before - the same two men are in the same stage all the time."
