UCL Final: How dare you compare Petr Cech with Alisson Becker!

Football records are meant to be broken, this is why many sports personalities are so motivated to excel at their craft daily. Take the Ronaldo – Messi argument for example, the records and achievement between these football greats will stand for a very long time to come. However, there are some comparisons that is unwholesome, ridiculous and downright disrespectful. As Chelsea FC former goalkeeper celebrates his 38th birthday; a social media meltdown is caused when Alisson Becker is compared with Petr Cech.



The current Liverpool squad coached by Jurgen Klopp is brimming with talent which has earned them a comfortable sit at the top of the Premier League. Hence, Liverpool fans are romanticizing and exaggerating the performance of their players like it’s the best we have ever seen.

The uproar was kicked off by a simple question. ‘Who had a better UCL final performance? The caption was followed with the pictures of the two goalkeepers holding the Champion League trophy.

Petr Cech’s performancewas so suspiciously exceptional he had to a doping test after the match and miss the locker room celebrations. I don’t remember anyone asking Allison to piss in a test tube after his final. We are not the same.

Cech saved three of the his penalties and went all the right way after winning he was in the UEFA doping control room because that performance was unbelievable. Don’t disrespect the king like that.

Cech saved three pens, went the right way of ALL 6pens. Faced 38 shots, 18 corners and tipped Robbens clear goal scoring opportunity onto the post. All against peak Bayern who were going for the treble at their own home ground.
