After she cried out for help on Christmas day, Nigerian widow Augusta Anosike gets new house from Facebook contributions (photos)

While the world celebrated the 2019 Christmas, what was troubling to Augusta Anosike was where she and her family would live in 2020

Augusta, a widow, was living in a dilapidated house until she decided to cry to the Nma Hearts foundation

 Using Facebook, Nma was able to gather enough contributions from Nigerians for a two-bedroom bungalow for the widow

A Nigerian widow, Augusta Anosike, resident in Imo state must be one of the happiest women in the country currently after she was gifted a house to live in.

Hot9ja Blog reports that the woman and other members of her family had recently raised an alarm asking for help after the old mud house they used to know as home began to crumble.

She raised the alarm on December 25, 2019, a day when the world was celebrating the year’s Christmas.

Nma Heart, a Facebook user, decided to join the call for help using the social medium. Then contributions began to pour in.



The new house constructed for the widow after she cried for help

In a message to Hot9ja Blog, Nma said, with the contributions, Madam Augusta, who hails from Ezhitte Mbaise in Umuachoro Itu area of Imo state, Nigeria, finally got a two-bedroom bungalow as her new home.

“Thanks to every hand that contributed to building a blockhouse (two-bedroom bungalow) for Mrs Augusta Anosike family,” Nma said in her message showing the old dilapidated building and the new one just constructed for the widow.

“On December 25, 2019, she cried to us to come to her aid for shelter and God used every hand on my Facebook to wipe her tears away,” she said.

She noted that it was not easy getting through with the project as she attributed its successful completion to God’s capacity to make things happen.

“For your support, words of encouragement and sharing out the story for this act of charity towards this widow life, may heaven, God of the widows, orphanage children, the God of impossibility also do the same for you all,” she prayed as she quoted James 1 versus 27 to back up her declaration.

Hot9ja Blog earlier reported how a day after donating N1 billion for the fight against coronavirus in Nigeria, billionaire businesswoman Folorunsho Alakija further donated N25,000 to each of her foundation’s registered widows and orphans in the six geopolitical zones in the country.

The money was donated to cushion the effect of the coronavirus pandemic on the beneficiaries.
