Kenyans Demand Justice for the Lady Who Was Tied and Dragged on a Motorcycle by a Cop

Kenyans are tired of the police brutality in the country and how the people they should be looking up for protection end up harassing them.

Ever since the 7 PM curfew was imposed by President Uhuru Kenyatta, police officers have taken matters into their own hands and numerous deaths have since been reported.


The internet was on fire yesterday after a disturbing video of a police officer dragging a certain lady along the road tied to a motorcycle was leaked.







The police officer believed to be the OCS of Olenguruone allegedly caught the 21 year old lady Mercy Cherono trying to steal from a residents house in Kuresoi and decided to take matters into his own hands.

Apparently Mercy is a member of a gang that steals from people’s houses and she wasn’t so lucky yesterday as she was caught in the act.

In the video the officer is seen dragging Mercy along the road tearing up her clothes and scarring her body leaving her with injuries and a broken leg.

Mercy was rushed to Olenguruone Sub County Hospital where she was admitted after receiving treatment.

The video which was secretly recorded has angered Kenyans across the country who have come out to seek justice for Mercy Cherono for the cruelty she underwent under the hands of the officer.

Justice for Mercy Cherono is the hashtag that has been trending on Twitter as Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) demanded that the officer is arrested and dealt with.






Tito Kilonzi the police commander in Nakuru visited her at the hospital and said that the people involved in the barbaric act would face the law.

Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) has since launched a probe on the conduct of the Olenguroune OCS and the assault of Mercy Cherono.
