Nigerian Lawyers Threaten



The Nigerian comedian popularly known as Lasisi Elenu has got a warning from The Assistant National Publicity Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association, Habeeb Lawal.

This came after the comedian made another viral skit he acted the lawyer trying to defend a case in the court.He then went ahead and asked his fans to tag the lawyers they know so they can see his comedy

His fans started to tag different lawyers and unfortunately,it got the attention of Habeeb Lawal.

He then responded to the skit and gave him a warning to stop these type of skits that devalue the Nigerian Bar Association

Habeeb Lawal wrote

"Dear Comedian,We have been tagged and We beg to use you as a point of reference to other comedians . Lawyers have awesome sense of humour ,as such we enjoy your jokes and appreciate the creativity.However,if you must represent our profession in your work,Kindly ensure you properly adorn the wig,bip and gown. We acknowledge your right of expression but NOTE we reserve the rights to take all necessary steps to guide against the ridicule of our noble profession and the Nigerian Bar Association won't hesitate to exercise those rights"

They made it clear that they respect his right of expression under the law but they also have the right to take all necessary steps to guide against the ridicule of their profession.
