I believe we all understand the economic hardship in our country nowadays, how this pandemic, COVID-19 has rendered and kept many people confused. Normal movement has been tampered with in some State.




Recall that some months ago, the country was in total lockdown, and as such many people aren't doing any business.

Some landlords can at times be heartless. One Landlord by name Samuel Kamunya from Mirera Karagita, Naivasha su-county in Kenya has thrown the luggages of his tenants outside because they were unable to pay a month house rent.





According to eye witness, most of these tenants said they had requested for some more time to clear the debt but he blatantly refused. He also said that most of these tenants tenants have lived there for more than five years and others as many as ten years. Sadly enough, a mother who just gave birth a week ago was among those affected.






Even if the Landlord wants to throw their properties outside, he should at least re-consider or give them second chance because this pandemic has caused a lot of damages. I know that most people at times, even before the pandemic, don't like paying house rent but this case now is separate, the landlord should please have mercy, if not for anything for the sake of the new born baby.
