Untold Story of How Arsenal's Ainstley Maitland-Niles Mother Could Have Ruined His Arsenal Career.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles was a very important member of the Unai Emery's Arsenal squad that progressed to the Europa League final, but we're unfortunately defeated by Chelsea in the European finals.




Ainsley's mother is a type of woman who can be described as an over-caring woman. This could be as a result of the fact that the majority of the time, she singlehandedly took care of Niles and his brother. Her over-caring attitude led to the fall out between her and her kids.

As at 2018, she was homeless and living in a small storage building, claiming that 'Money had entered inside the head of her son and that he and his senior brother had neglected her'.





Prior to that period, what really happened?

During Maitland-Niles teenage years, it was already clear to everyone that he would make it as a professional but, the only barrier between him and his professional career was his family, precisely his mother.
How it all unfolded.

His first professional contract.

Ainsley's mother protested against the club until 24th October 2014 when her efforts looked to have paid off as Maitland-Niles signed his first professional contract.

That same year, he went on to make his first appearance for Arsenal in a Champions League match against Galatasaray on December 9, 2014.






Sometime in 2015, Maitland-Niles mother went to Arsenal's London Colney to discuss the future of her son with the club. The conversation didn't end well as she had a very heated conversation with Arsenal's Cheif Negotiator, Dick Law.

Her repeated violent act led to her arrest in 2015, which led to her ban from visiting the Arsenal training centre.

His loan at Ipswich Town.

In the 2015/2016 season, Arsenal announced that Ainsley Maitland-Niles had completed a season-long loan to Ipswich town, a move that appeared to be the turning point in his career.






But, did it all go smoothly? No!

That year, Ainsley Maitland-Niles was invited to participate in an England kit launch. The request was refused by the Ipswich manager who refused to let Maitland-Niles travel due to his importance to the team.

This angered his mom, who went on to call the Ipswich manager and left and X-rated voicemail to him.

How did Maitland-Niles manage to revive his career?

After Maitland-Niles returned to Arsenal at the end of his Ipswich town loan, he rented an apartment close to the Arsenal training ground, moving in with his mom and his senior brother.

She continued her issues with the Arsenal directors, which led to owners of the apartment handing them a quit notice as a result of her behaviour. As at that time, she was on a break in Australia.






Days after she returned, Maitland-Niles and his brother moved out of the house with his brother.

According to his mom, he said "Mom, I just want to live my life", and then he gave her money to rent an apartment before he left.

This led to a mother-son feud as she reported to the media that money has gotten inside her son's head and he has neglected her, which is the reason why she now lives in a freezing storage container.





A Maitland-Niles source later confirmed that Niles doesn't know about his mother's dilemma as he regularly sends her money for her upkeep.

Niles's split with his mother had led to him having a free career without unexpected setbacks.
