Arsenal offered major boost in their pursuit of EPL star, as he tells club he wants to leave.

Arsenal FC are one of the big premier clubs that has relatively being quiet in the present transfer business going on between clubs. The Gunners London rival Chelsea has already signed Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, while Liverpool are on the verge of agreeing a deal for Thiago Alcantara.

Arsenal are reportedly leading the race to sign John Stones from Manchester City, following the player's unwillingness to remain at the Premier league club having fallen down the pecking order at City.

Stones, who joined Manchester City from Everton in 2016, was one of the first names in ManchesterCCity's starting lineup in the early days of pep Guardiola. However, he has fallen out of favour in the eyes of the former Bayern coach. Injuries and poor forms were the major reasons for his down fall.

The defender, despite being match fit, Pep Guardiola did not pick him for the game against Liverpool and he is now looking more and more likely to leave the Etihad Stadium, this summer.
